In 1854, the U.S. government sent representatives to the Northwest to discuss the purchase of tribal lands and the settling of native peoples on reservations. In response, Chief Seattle delivered this legendary speech - this beautifully edited, hand-scripted speech has been titled "Seattle's Lament." Alongside the calligraphy silhouette is an inset box with Seattle's speech typeset for easy reading 18" x 24"
